NO COST PARENTING SUPPORT

What is Attachment Bio-Behavioral Catchup (ABC)?

ABC is a 10-session in-home parent coaching program, where a parent coach comes into the home to support caregivers in understanding and responding to their infants and toddlers’ needs. In every session you will hear about the positive things you are doing with your baby. At the end of the program you will receive a special gift – a set of video clips of you and your child playing together in the ABC program.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sounds like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest.

Who can participate?

ABC was created to work with parents and/or caregivers of babies between 0-4 years. Other children and caregivers are welcome and encouraged to participate.

Where does ABC happen?

We come to you: All visits take place in your home.

When does ABC happen?

ABC is flexible. You will work with one coach who will always work with you to find the best times that are good for you and your baby that can be adjusted week to week as needed.

Triple P: Parenting Program

Level 5 Pathways

What is Triple P Pathways?

The Triple P knows all parents have different needs. Some may just want a parenting tip or two to make life smoother at bedtime or the mall. Others could need special, one-on-one help to get them through. That’s why Triple P has many different ways for you to get support for your parenting needs - so you can choose what suits you and your family best.

Triple P Pathways will help you work out why you get angry and upset with your child, and help you think differently about how those situations occur. Coping with anger gives you a choice of personal tools to use when you get stressed or upset with your kids.

Who Can Participate?

Caregivers with children 3 to 12 years old.

What is RAP-A?

The RAP-A Program draws on the metaphor in the children's story of the "Three Little Pigs" in which only the house made of bricks withstood the attacks of the Big Bad Wolf. Each week participating adolescents develop their own personal 'RAP-A house' by laying down different personal resource bricks (e.g.'Personal Strength Bricks', 'Keeping Calm Bricks', 'Problem Solving Bricks'), as the program unfolds.

The cognitive-behavioural component provides the techniques of keeping calm, cognitive restructuring and problem solving. The interpersonal component stresses the importance of promoting harmony and dealing with conflict and role disputes by developing an understanding of the perspective of others. The common thread that runs through the program is the teaching of techniques to maintain self-esteem in the face of a variety of stressors.

Who Can Participate?

Adolescents aged 11-16

What is RAP-A-ASD?

RAP-A-ASD aims to address emotional difficulties such as stress, anxiety, or depression. These emotional difficulties can arise from study demands, performance expectations, school belonging, peer pressure, conflict, and family difficulties. The RAP-A-ASD program aims to help young people cope with these developmental challenges of their teenage years. Adolescents on the spectrum report high degrees of loneliness and spend less time interacting with peers in comparison to their neurotypical peers.

The RAP-A-ASD program consists of 11-14  hour sessions designed to be delivered either individually or in a group up to 6.

Who Can Participate?

Adolescents on the spectrum aged 11-16

Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation

  • What is it?

Infant-Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation (ECMHC) happens when a consultant meets directly with early childhood care staff to support the growth and development of children. Consultants build quality relationships with staff to support the emotional and developmental needs to children.

  • Why?

ECMHC is a collaboration with caregivers to support them in providing nurturing and developmental appropriate care to young children. This process helps caregivers feel supported and have opportunities to problem-solve and explore options to best meet needs.

  • Who does it?

Cloverleaf has a team of mental health counselors trained in children’s mental health and development, reflective practice, and infant-preschooler mental health. This team has years of experience and a passion for supporting young children, teachers, and caregivers.

Play Therapy

“Play Therapy is not the same as regular, everyday play. While spontaneous play is a natural and essential part of the developmental process, Play Therapy is a systematic and therapeutic approach.  Play Therapists have earned a graduate mental health degree and are licensed mental health professionals with extensive training, supervision, and education in Play Therapy. Play Therapy incorporates a growing number of evidence-based practices and techniques and should only be utilized by specially trained mental health professionals.”

-Association for Play Therapy (APT)

Cloverleaf Family Counseling is a proud practitioner of play therapy. Our practitioners believe that play therapy can be transformative for children, parents and adults.

Therapy/Counseling

Consider psychotherapy if you would like unbiased support from a trained professional. In therapy you may discuss difficulties with processing something that has happened in your life or get support in preparing for a major life adjustment. Individual therapy can also help you address complicated family dynamics or challenges within relationships.

At Cloverleaf Family Counseling you can rely on your therapist to be someone who listens to you, provides support and encouragement, and models a healthy and positive relational experience.

Cloverleaf Family Counseling provides face-to-face services in the form of Telehealth/Teletherapy to clients in California.

Potential Benefits: The benefits of using Telehealth include:

1.   Convenient options including location, time, no driving, etc.

2.  All services provided by Cloverleaf Family Counseling are available via Telehealth upon your consent.

3. Reduces the overall cost and time of therapy due to not having to drive to and from an office.

4. Increased availability of services to all clients, including clients with limited mobility, homebound clients, or clients with transportation limitations.

Limitations: It is important to note that there are limitations and potential challenges associated with using Telehealth. These limitations include but are not limited to the following:

1. Providers cannot see you, your body language, or your non-verbal reactions to discussions.

2. Due to technology limitations your provider may not hear all of what you are saying and may need to ask you to repeat things.

3. Technology may fail before or during the Telehealth interaction.

4. Although every effort is made to reduce confidentiality breaches, breaches may occur for various reasons.

To reduce the effect of these limitations, your provider may ask you to describe how you are feeling, thinking, and/or acting in more detail than would occur during a face-to-face session. You may also feel that you need to describe your feelings, thoughts, and/or actions in more detail than you would during a face-to-face session.
