Hola!

I firmly believe that we are products of our environment, which is why it is essential to listen to people in the community about their challenges, with compassion and cultural humility.

During my bachelor's program, I interned at a community college as a peer mentor for Dreamers, first-generation and CalWORKs students. Working in higher education with multiple diverse communities allowed me to learn how to better serve and advocate for students with their unique needs. My background and lived experiences have helped me understand the intricate issues that often affect people of color and low-income communities such as lack of resources, housing insecurity, family violence, immigration status and intergenerational trauma. I recognize that these factors can be barriers to living life at ease but hope to help alleviate some by working collaboratively.

Currently, I am attending Chico State for my master's in social work and am on the path to graduating in Spring 2023. After I obtain my MSW, I plan to go for my LCSW to continue working with individuals in the community and assist them therapeutically.

Being able to work with people in the community has been a dream of mine, and I now have the privilege and honor to do so which continues to drive my passion.

Life presents each of us with challenges and stressors, but you don't have to go through them alone. While it can be challenging to seek support, it can be life changing. As a clinician I recognize each person’s story and experiences are unique, so therapy should be the same and meet the unique needs of the individuals I am working with. I am committed to provide a strength-based, inter-culturally competent, trauma informed and person-centered approach.

I have worked in social work for over 15 years working with multiple communities and populations including, expecting, and parenting individuals,  families, 0–5-year old’s, school age children, youth, adults, caregivers of children, diverse communities and individuals who have experienced trauma.  I provide a welcoming, safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment for you to explore life transitions, personal issues, professional development, dilemmas, and concerns.

Therapy can be used to address challenges as well as existential concerns, dreams, fears, and life transitions.  During our time together I create a space that offers you the opportunity to embark upon a process of personal growth and development in an atmosphere of compassion and support.

I look forward to hearing from you and learning more about what kind of support best meets your needs to grow, heal, or feel at your best.

Teletherapy

Cloverleaf Family Counseling provides face-to-face services in the form of Telehealth/Teletherapy to clients in California.

Potential Benefits: The benefits of using Telehealth include:

1.     Convenient options including location, time, no driving, etc.

2.     All services provided by Cloverleaf Family Counseling are available via Telehealth upon your consent.

3.     Reduces the overall cost and time of therapy due to not having to drive to and from an office.

4.     Increased availability of services to all clients, including clients with limited mobility, homebound clients, or clients with transportation limitations.

Limitations: It is important to note that there are limitations and potential challenges associated with using Telehealth. These limitations include but are not limited to the following:

1.        Providers cannot see you, your body language, or your non-verbal reactions to discussions.

2.         Due to technology limitations your provider may not hear all of what you are saying and may need to ask you to repeat things.

3.        Technology may fail before or during the Telehealth interaction.

4.        Although every effort is made to reduce confidentiality breaches, breaches may occur for various reasons.

To reduce the effect of these limitations, your provider may ask you to describe how you are feeling, thinking, and/or acting in more detail than would occur during a face-to-face session. You may also feel that you need to describe your feelings, thoughts, and/or actions in more detail than you would during a face-to-face session.
